As a faithful, optimistic agent for change, Neylan McBaine has been creative and proactive in helping Latter-day Saint women recognize and bring their gifts to our community.
McBaine has founded two ambitious and inspiring projects -- The Mormon Women Project and Better Days 2020 -- and was even instrumental in shaping the the “I’m a Mormon” campaign. She has been influential in shaping today’s conversation about women in the church -- past, present and future.
In this conversation with Terryl Givens, Neylan shares the perspective of a Latter-day Saint woman who has lived most of her life on the east coast, in a church culture somewhat different from what many of us experience.
Among other topics, she shares her thought on the reality and benefit of “bottom-up change” in the church.
