ARTICLE 13 is a new narrative podcast from Faith Matters that brings together cutting-edge research and spiritual wisdom to offer blueprints for a better world.
American society is fractured across political and cultural lines. Healing will not happen quickly or easily, but will require a sustained commitment to peaceful discussion and the development of new, creative frameworks for finding common ground.
Hosted by Zachary Davis and featuring deep-dives into vital social issues, extraordinary guests, and beautiful sound design, ARTICLE 13 aims to model the kind of hopeful, intelligent discourse our country needs—and to offer ways that each individual listener can start the healing, right where they are.
The name of the show is inspired by the 13th Article of Faith:
“We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”

Maria Devlin McNair received her PhD in English from Harvard University. Her research focuses on philosophy and literature, and she is currently writing a book on Ethics and Renaissance Comedy. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
STEVE LAROSA | MUSIC DIRECTOR
Steve LaRosa is a genre-fluid sound artist, composer, producer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist who blends musical building blocks across genres. With a degree in composition and conducting from the Conservatory of Milan, he’s performed with Beck, Eugene Hütz, Anthony Coleman, Steven Bernstein, Matt Wilson, Allison Miller, and Jeff Lederer and has performed on stages across Europe and the US. In addition, he scores music for film, animation, concert music, and commercials.
GAVIN FELLER | PRODUCER
Gavin Feller is a media producer, researcher, and startup founder with deep expertise in marketing and video content strategy. He holds a PhD in media and communications and recently published a book on the history of Latter-day Saint media. Gavin uses a unique blend of academic insight and creative execution to tell compelling stories.
