Jana Riess is a senior columnist at Religion News Service and the author or co-author of many books, including Mormonism and American Politics, Mormonism for Dummies, the memoir Flunking Sainthood, and the comedic biblical “translation” The Twible. She is currently working on The Next Mormons, which gathers new sociological data and personal interviews to compare the beliefs and attitudes of four generations of Latter-day Saints. She is in the Relief Society presidency in the Cincinnati ward.
